5k tonight, took me 35 mins. I am sooooo knackered today. I really felt like stopping every couple of minutes. Commuting is a weird thing; it's not like I'm actually doing anything demanding, but when I get back from the London to Brighton journey and then immediately go running, I always feel like I can barely keep my eyes open. Even while I'm running, I'm yawning.

Also, and this may be a contributing factor, I don't know - but I've run four consecutive nights in a row now: Monday half an hour all uphill, Tuesday 5km, Wednesday 3.5km (to Spock's house) which was a long slow uphill to Seven Dials, and then all downhill save for one last hill at the end. I need to work on running downhill. I find it really hard on the old knees, very jarring. So I'm pretty shattered.

Just back from a short two mile trot around the block. It's so cold outside. Dani was here, and she just left and I said I was definitely going to go, so I had to. Glad I did too. Hopefully I will sleep better - I always, without fail, sleep really badly on Sunday nights.

Other than that, only managed to fit in three other runs this week - I have sore shins. I wonder if it's shin splints. I keep reading about all these things, then I just think God, just forget about it. I can't possibly have every ailment I read about, even if the symptoms do match. I don't want to turn into a running hypochondriac. But anyway, I did have these sharp pains on the front/left of my legs, but it faded a bit towards the end of the week. I did 4.5km on Monday, 3.5km Tuesday (hills workout on treadmill) and 4km yesterday. Oh and I also have my wrist in a bandage at the moment, seem to have sprained it. God knows how but it hurts. Can't hold anything heavier than a grapefruit! I think I must have done it on the weights in the gym.
