I've been really strict this week and have run every day. Not far, just trying to build up little by little.

Not much of a new year's eve for me tonight - I'm going to New York tomorrow and have to get up at 4.30am. Can't wait!

The running shoes are packed.

Boxing Day.
Ventured a bit further afield today. Ran down Ockley Lane and up the hill to Oldlands Mill then across the fields to Ditchling. It was bitterly cold, and the ground was really hard and uneven. Came back slightly different way - was worried about being chased by cows (!) and didn't have much energy left, so back via Keymer. It felt quite far, so was disappointed to see that my pedometer only said 2½ miles when I got back.

Christmas Day.
Freezing, freezing cold.
Am at Mum and Dad's so a bit of a country outing today - down through the park, down Orchard Lane, up to Ockley Lane, down Grand Avenue and home via Dale Avenue. Only two miles but felt longer.

Got a heart rate monitor and pedometer for Christmas, and some new running socks. Nice!
